Students involved with Student Reach are making a positive and lasting impact on the world. By using their compassion as motivation, students are joining Student Reach projects, campaigns, and initiatives to make a difference.
Seven schools in the Wellington County in southern Ontario combined their efforts and aimed at a very high goal. After a year of work, students in both secondary and primary schools contributed enough funds to pay for the construction of a primary school in the Masai Mara region of Kenya. Their contribution also proved that multiple schools could join hands in an effort to make positive change.
Throughout the initiative, awareness about education overseas was raised as well. Students not only raised awareness about education though, as they also encouraged other peers to ‘Reach Out’. Over twenty student authors wrote short stories that depicted students reaching out. Several student photographers took pictures throughout the community that illustrated students reaching out.
Students involved with Student Reach are also traveling around the world. Student Reach has assisted students in the planning of international volunteer trips to Kenya, India, Uganda, and Tanzania.
